Questions this paper answers

Does cyanovirin-N need its disulfide bonds to bind mannosylated peptides?

No. We found that dimannosylated hemagglutinin peptides bind CV-N variants without disulfide bonds, and that an engineered ion pair in place of a disulfide enhanced binding to full-length hemagglutinin (Schilling et al., RSC Adv. 2020, 10, 11079).
